The South Melbourne Market's Food Hall Courtyard has been announced as a finalist in the 11th Annual Architizer A+ Awards, which honor the world's best architecture, buildings and spaces.

The Food Hall Courtyard precinct opened in November 2022 and connects the York Street carpark to the Market's popular Food Hall. The space offers over 100 additional seats for outdoor dining, as well as a space for events, entertainment and activations. The project was funded by the Australian Government's Local Roads and Community Infrastructure (LRCI) program and was one of seven projects delivered by the City of Port Phillip to improve community infrastructure and support local jobs.
