From Market Stalls to Footy Fields: Our Traders Take on the Ice Bucket Challenge for Fight MND!

With a little help from the Richmond Tigers and a whole lot of love, the Market's traders took the plunge to raise donations for this fantastic cause.

Our Village Market witnessed a delightful convergence of community spirit and star power thanks to the organisation of Kirkpatrick's Meats. Market traders, driven by their commitment to making a positive impact, joined forces with Richmond footy players Dion Prestia and Ivan Soldo to participate in the Ice Bucket Challenge. Their goal? To raise funds and awareness for the fight against Motor Neuron Disease (MND).

In loving memory of one of the Kirkpatrick's staff member's mothers, this is a cause close to the whole team's and Market's heart.

We were thrilled with the participation of staff from Kirkpatrick's Meat, K & L Fresh Poultry, Ralph's Meat, Aptus Seafood, Flinders + Co., Claypots Evening Star, K-Sein Fromagerie, Fruits on Coventry, Sherifs Quality Fruit & Vegies and Georgie's Harvest.

The collaboration between the South Melbourne Market traders and the Tiger players left an indelible mark on the community. Beyond the funds raised and the awareness generated, the event fostered a sense of unity and shared purpose.

We can't wait to do it again next year!
