With your A Foodie Affair Passport in hand, chart your own course around the Market and discover a curated collection of sweet and savoury bites, refreshing drinks and deli favourites from participating traders.
From familiar favourites to unexpected flavours, every stop is an opportunity to try something new.
Pre-book the tastings that tempt you, plan a route to suit your appetite and explore the Market one stop at a time.
A Foodie Affair Passport will take place from 4–14 November on selected Market days, excluding Sundays.
Build Your Own Foodie Adventure
This year, you’re in control of your tasting adventure.
Choose how many tastings you would like, select your favourites when booking and create an experience that suits your appetite, dietary needs and budget. With experiences priced at up to $8 each, you can choose a few tempting tastes or plan a bigger expedition through the Market.
Whether you’re travelling solo, bringing a fellow food lover or gathering a group, no two Foodie Affair adventures need to look the same.
How It Works
1. Choose Your Tastings
Explore the menu of food, drinks and deli favourites from participating Market traders, then select your preferred experiences in advance.
2. Book Your Passport
Purchase your selected tastings online and receive your ticket confirmation with the information you need for your visit.
3. Check In and Plan Your Route
Visit the Market on your booked date and check in at the Market Office between 11am and 1.30pm.
Present your ticket confirmation to the SMM Airlines Flight Crew, who will issue you with:
- Your Foodie Affair Passport, pre-stamped with your booked trader stops
- A Foodie Affair Market Map
- Your boarding pass
- A South Melbourne Market shopping bag
Use the Market Map to plan your route and visit your booked traders in the order of your choice.
4. Taste Your Way Around the Market
Present the relevant page of your passport at each booked trader to redeem your item.
Once you have collected it, the trader will add a second stamp to confirm it has been redeemed.
