Support Maison Otto’s Caroline Khelaifia in the 2026 French-Australian Excellence Awards

Vote for Caroline in the 2026 French-Australian Excellence Awards
Organised by Le Courrier Australien, the awards celebrate individuals who strengthen connections between France and Australia. Caroline is one of the nominees recognised in the Entrepreneurship category, with public voting open until 19 October.
Caroline founded Maison Otto in 2007, inspired by a desire to make French fashion, craftsmanship and culture more accessible in Australia. The business has since evolved across wholesale, retail and online, expanding from fashion into homewares and lifestyle.
Today, Maison Otto has a permanent home at South Melbourne Market, where Caroline has created a welcoming “little corner of France”. The boutique showcases independent French brands and artisans selected for their quality, authenticity and responsible production.
Drawing on her French upbringing and family heritage in fashion and hospitality, Caroline shares the stories, traditions and craftsmanship behind each piece. Through Maison Otto, customers can discover not only beautiful products, but also the makers, origins and French rituals they represent.
For Caroline, the nomination is particularly meaningful because of the role the Market community has played in Maison Otto’s journey.
“I’m very touched by the nomination, particularly as Maison Otto has really taken shape and grown within the South Melbourne Market community. Sharing a little piece of France with Melbourne, and especially with the Market community, has become such an important part of what we do.
“If you would like to support me, voting is now open and I would, of course, be very grateful for your vote.”
Congratulations, Caroline!
