Lunar New Year Lion Dancers
Celebrate Lunar New Year with traditional Lion Dancers as they dance around the Market, bringing in the Year of the Horse. The lion symbolises strength, stability and superiority. Dances are performed as a means to chase away evil spirits, welcome prosperous times and usher in good luck and blessings to the community.
Please note: The Lion Dance is a vibrant and joyful tradition, and it can be loud as the drums and cymbals bring the celebration to life. If you’d like a quieter experience, complimentary earplugs will be available from the Market Office located in Centre Aisle.
