A Foodie Affair: Cultured & Cured invites you on a mouth-watering journey through the world of pickled, cultured, cured and fermented flavours. From tangy kimchi croissants and Grilled loukaniko Greek salad to creamy raw milk cheese, burrata bao, Italian cured meats, Spanish white anchovy toast and even indulgent black garlic and miso pastries, our Market traders are serving up bold tastes and timeless traditions in every bite.

Wander at your own pace, exploring the Market stalls in any order you choose, and discover the artistry behind these age-old techniques reimagined in fresh, innovative ways. It’s a unique chance to sample, savour and celebrate the foods that have been lovingly cultured, cured and perfected.

The Cultured & Cured Menu

Celebrate the rich traditions of fermentation, pickling and curing in new delicious ways, with an exclusive self-guided degustation across 10 dishes from some of your favorite Market traders:

  • Agathé PâtisserieKorean Kimchi, Bacon and Corn Cheese Melt Mini Croissant.
  • Bambu Asian Eating House - Kimchi Pancake with Mozzarella served with Caramelised Black Chilli Soy Vinaigrette. (V)
  • Cobb Lane Bakery - Black Garlic and Miso Pastry: Black Garlic Curd, Miso Brown Butter Financier, Black Garlic Chantilly, Grated Salted Egg Yolk, encased in Croissant Pastry. (V)
  • Fritz Gelato - Creamy, Mango Lassi Natural Frozen Yoghurt. (V)
  • Greek'n Out - Grilled Loukaniko Greek Salad with Tzatziki Base, Pork Sausage, Topped with Cherry Tomato and Dill, drizzled with Extra Virgin Olive Oil. 
  • K-SEIN Fromagerie - Raw Milk Cheese with Mountain Bush Pepper. (V)
  • Pizzateca Lupa - Piccolo Salumi Misti with San Daniele, Salami, Bresaola with Giardiniera and focaccia.  
  • Simply Spanish - Spanish White Anchovy on Grilled Sourdough with Caramalised Onion, topped with Bitter Dark Chocolate. 
  • SMITHBURG - Fried Pickle Spears with Ranch Dressing. (V)
  • UGO Burrata Bar - Burrata Bao: Burrata, Fennel Kraut, and Hoisin in a Bao Bun. (V)

Complimentary Tastings

As part of A Foodie Affair: Cultured & Cured, all Market visitors can enjoy two complimentary tasting experiences on select days and times - no ticket required.

  • Moses and Co. Market Wholefoods - Sip on refreshing, wild-fermented organic kombucha from Good Brew Kombucha, packed with microbial diversity. Tastings take place on Wednesdays and Fridays throughout Foodie Affair from 11am - 2pm. 
  • Georgie's Harvest - Discover the rich depth of flavour in black garlic products from Garlicious Grown including black garlic salt, paste, vinegar and powder. Tastings take place every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday throughout Foodie Affair during Market trading hours.  

Ticket Price

Tickets are $85 per person and includes event map, stamp card and Market bag.

Two sessions will be available on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday: 

  • Wednesday 5 November, 11am and 1pm
  • Friday 7 November, 11am and 1pm
  • Saturday 8 November, 11am and 1pm
  • Wednesday 12 November, 11am and 1pm
  • Friday 14 November, 11am and 1pm
  • Saturday 15 November, 11am and 1pm
