Have Your Say - Future South Melbourne

Published 12 September 2022
The City of Port Phillip Council are calling on community feedback to help shape South Melbourne's future

The City of Port Phillip has developed a South Melbourne Structure Plan Discussion Paper to continue the conversations had with the community about South Melbourne’s future. The Discussion Paper has been developed based on feedback heard directly from the community in 2021. You can view the results from our first phase of engagement here.

The Council are now calling for your feedback on the key directions and ideas presented in the Discussion Paper, which are informed by a shared vision for South Melbourne based on the ideas and aspirations of the local community.

Community feedback will help Council prepare the draft South Melbourne Structure Plan, for which they will again seek your feedback when it is ready in 2023. A structure plan will establish a long term vision and actions to manage change. This long-term plan will help prepare South Melbourne for the future and how the City of Port Phillip respond to challenges such as climate change, population growth and COVID-19.
