Heading to the F1 Australian Grand Prix this weekend? Why not make a pit stop at the Market on the way to or from the track, refuel at one of our many restaurants and cafes, or grab something to go from one of our fantastic food and drink traders.

If you are after an affordable way to feed your crew at the race, why not stop by one of the Market delis to throw together the ultimate picnic platter? No basket? No problem!  W.B. Smith and Co Kitchenware has a vast array of picnic hampers and rugs, while Faslini Leather Travel Goods have the quintessential cooler to keep your food and drink cold, as well as a selection of picnic rugs.

Looking for a gift to take home to someone special? The Market has a vast range of gift options for him, her, the kids and even your four-legged friends who may have missed out on the track-side action. Stop by the Market to see what’s on offer.

There are disruptions to the 96 tram due to the express service from Southern Cross station, however, the Market will still be serviced via replacement buses running between William Street/Bourke Street through to Luna Park and stopping at the Market. The number 12 tram on Clarendon Street is running as usual, with extra tram services to cater for the crowds. For full details regarding public transport, please check out the Public Transport Victoria and Yarra Trams pages.

If driving, please be aware there are restricted parking zones for the local area, including temporary parking restrictions around Middle Park and Albert Park. For more details regarding road closures and event parking, visit the Port Phillip Council website.

The Market will be open as usual Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 8am.
