PAMPSHADE Bread Lamp Workshop with Yukiko Morita
Make Your Own Bread Lamp
PAMPSHADE was created by Japanese artist Yukiko Morita from a desire to preserve the natural beauty of bread and give it a new life beyond the bakery. By carefully hollowing, drying and protecting real bread, Yukiko transforms something familiar and fleeting into a lasting piece of functional art.
During this workshop, Yukiko will personally guide participants through the process of making their own bread lamp to take home.
This is more than a craft workshop. It is an opportunity to explore the relationship between food, sustainability, light and imagination.
With only five participants in each session, this special workshop offers a rare opportunity to learn directly from the artist and experience the careful process behind one of Japan’s most imaginative contemporary craft creations.
This workshop is hosted by Osara, with bread supplied from Cobb Lane.
