Port Phillip Men's Shed

The Port Phillip Men's Shed will be popping up on Cecil St and selling their wonderful timber Christmas trees, toys and cutting boards. These are the perfect little gift and support a wonderful organisation. 

The Port Phillip Men’s Shed is a modern take on the classic backyard shed - a place that has long held a special place in Australian culture. Today, Men’s Sheds have grown into a nationwide movement, providing welcoming spaces where men can come together, work with their hands, learn new skills, and connect with their community.

Step inside a Men’s Shed and you might find members restoring furniture, repairing bicycles for local schools, building bird boxes or lawn-mower parts, or even crafting cubby houses for charity raffles. You might see younger men learning practical skills from older members - or simply absorbing life experience, stories, and wisdom along the way.

Many Sheds also run classes where men can learn to cook simple meals, use a computer to stay in touch with family, or pick up new hobbies in a friendly, supportive environment.

At its heart, the Men’s Shed movement is about community, connection, and wellbeing - giving men of all ages a space to share, create, and belong.
